I got a letter from the California Board of Registered Nurses today, I passed the NCLEX!
So now I am caught in the 3-way catch-22 of them not issuing me a license until I get a social security number, not being able to get a social security number until I get a job, and not being able to get a job without a license. But, I'm not the first Canadian nurse to venture into this hostile territory, there has to be a way.

CONGRATULATIONS! Woo Hoo.
ReplyDeleteI knew you could do it. If you can fly a plane, make a quilt, paint anything, be a lawyer, make baby socks and sweaters, teach yourself piano, etc., you can pass an exam. So, it goes to say, that I do not have any doubt that you will find a way to get a job in LA if you want one. Maybe your artistic skills can get you an short-term job and a social security number, which will allow you to apply for a nursing job. Anyhow, make sure that you celebrate first. We'll have one for you.
Congrats Nancy! BTW no problem with getting a license or SSN, there are a number of Chinese websites out there that will make you some really authentic-looking ones and courier them out pronto! ;-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats Nancy!
ReplyDeleteI knew you'd nail it. You are bright. :-)
Quelle surprise (yawn). But seriously, congrats, Nance!
