Arches National Park: The Windows and Turret Arch

Finally we arrived at the day's main attraction:  Arches!  We caught a glimpse of one as we drove up The Windows Road.

Double Arch is in the middle of these rocks below but it's hard to pick out, we'll see it better when we get to it later in the hike.

Heading out towards the Windows.  This is the North Window:

Both North and South Windows:

Before we get there though, we do a little detour to see Turret Arch:

Back to the North Window for a close-up view:

... and then the South Window:

We decided to do the longer version of the hike and take the "Primitive Loop Trail" back to the start of the trail.  We were glad we did as there were some great views of the surrounding landscape, as we approached the late afternoon "golden hour".

Ed photobombed me as I took a photo of the Windows from the back:

More beautiful views from the primitive trail:

And one last view of the North Window.

Next, we'll wander to the other side of the parking lot to go see Double Arch, coming up soon ...
