Hall Beach from the air

I'm pretty sure we used to be able to fly all the way to Resolute without a scheduled stop for fuel in Hall Beach.  It was back in the days (not that long ago) when we'd miss the stop in Arctic Bay as the weather was often bad at the Nanisivik airport.  However, I did get a photo this time of the community as we took off again.

I worked a few weeks in Hall Beach about 15 years ago.  It was the flattest place I had ever been.

  1. we had a stop over in hall beach on our way to pond, we decided to take the cat off the plane and let her stretch her legs. I've never seen so many curious faces. Unfortunately it was dark when we landed so there was not much of a view.

  2. I first flew out of Hall Beach in January at about 6 in the evening. The tiny strip of lights in the darkness looked so small in the vastness of the Arctic.

In the summer I rate it the ugliest community in the Baffin district.
