Valley of Fire, Nevada

OK, the next day (Dec. 16)  we headed east to the Valley of Fire.  Now, you might think by looking at my photos, "they sure have a lot of red rocks in Nevada", but my impression is that they actually don't, but they like them so much that where a cluster occurs, they throw a park boundary around them.

I think the rocks in these two photos are the "flame" of the Valley of Fire.  They are pretty dramatic in real life.

I'll break up the day into several posts, so stay tuned...
